  • Don't use it in bleeding disorders and in Menorrhagia or excessive menstrual secretion.
  • Use it with adequate caution in bleeding piles and in pregnancy. Better to avoid these preparations.
  • Avoid it during breast feeding unless indicated for short period (3 to 7 days).

Toxicity Of Guggul Overdosage:

Commiphora mukul shouldn't be used in excessive dosage as such use can cause some toxicity symptoms because of vitiation of Pitta.

  • Nightblindness.
  • Dryness of mouth.
  • Weakness.
  • Lack of sexual drive.
  • Excessive weight loss.
  • Syncope.
  • Dryness in body.
  • Flacidity of muscles (Ashtanga Sangraha, Uttara Section, 49/178)

Stop the use of Commiphora mukul gum and use Cow milk and Clarified butter. These will help in Pitta vitiated symptoms.

Hypersensitivity Or Allergic Reactions With Guggul Use:

Sometimes there might be burning in stomach, itching and urticarial rashes on skin after its use. Stop using it immediately and the symptoms usually disappear within a few hours to a day or two. One can use it again after some time.
