GuggulHerbal Formulations Of Commiphora Mukul In Ayurvedic Medicine (1)Guggul occupies prominent place in the therapeutic toolbox of Ayurvedic doctors. This formulation with 21 herbs is useful in skin allergies - particularly with dry, scaly and blackish discoloration. 4) Kanchanar Gug.:The formulation is greatly useful in glandular swellings, goitre, lymphadenopathy or lymph glands enlargement, chronic adenoid enlargement, chronic sorethroat. 5) Kaishora Gug.:It is beneficial in Gout, skin allergies, acne, boils, wounds, chronic sorethroat, chronic bronchitis or cough, diabetic furuncles. Vata and Blood based diseases respond well to this. 6) Gokshuradi Gug.:Gokshuradi gug. supports well in Uro-genital disorders. Dysuria or painful urination, Chronic urinary tract infection, renal stones or calculary are benefited by this preparation. (Sharangadhara Samhita) 7) Trayodasanga Gug.:Trayodasanga gug. is useful in Vata diseases. Neuralgia or nerve pain, paralytic disorders or muscle weakness, sciatica, backache, joints pain are well supported. We use it in Osteoarthritis and Spondylosis. (Bhava Prakasha) 8) Triphala Gug.:This botanical preparation with triple myrobalans and guggul benefits in piles or hemorrhoids, fissure and chronic constipation. It combines the rejuvenative and detox properties of Triphala (triple myrobalan fruits) with guggul gum. (Sharangadhara Samhita) Some vaidyas prepare it by adding purified sulphur to the above formulation. Thereafter its utility further increases in the above mentioned diseases. (Ayurveda Sara Samgraha) 9) Panchatiktaghrita Gug.:This formulation with an array of bitter herbs in it helps skin disorders, gout and chronic infections.
