T. Arjuna in Chronic Stable Angina is suggested by a double blind
cross over study. This study found the effects of Arjuna comparable with

arjuna bark extract in the dosage of 500 mg thrice a day improved the
condition of the patients of stable angina with provocable ischemia on
treadmill exercise. This study showed improvements in clinical and treadmill
exercise parameters as compared to placebo therapy. The benefits were similar
to Isosorbide mononitrate (40mg/day) therapy and with good tolerance.
